In 2002, Mr. Thériault founded Altitube Steel with his 20 years of experience in the steel industry. At the time, the team operated in a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Lachine and provided the same products and services as today: steel tube and pipe distribution, as well as precision cutting.
Only 5 years later, in 2007, faced with strong and sustained customer demand, Altitube Steel became the owner of its own 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Laval. This investment allowed the company to offer a wider range of products to its customers while standing out in the steel industry. A second band saw is then installed to allow a greater volume of precision cutting.
Once again, the success of Altitube Steel forces management to find new solutions in order to meet the growing demand. In 2013, a major investment was made to build an extension to double the size of the warehouse for a total of 60,000 sq. ft. The company also added a 20 ton overhead crane to help service its customers.
In 2018, Altitube Steel again improves the level of service it offers its customers. This time, the investment is made in human capital and operations. The warehouse usage is maximised to its full potential by adding a night shift and expanding the sales team. Today, Altitube Steel's team benefits from the adequate infrastructure in order to meet the new challenges that are awaiting them!
